Participation in a conference "Shield of Poland"
On October 29th a conference "Shield of Poland" was held in the Air Forces Headquarters. The conference had been organised by Bumar with participation of the National Defence University and Military University of Technology.
The main subject of the conference was a multilayer air and missile defence system
- being a common concept of the Scientific-Industrial Centre of Professional
Electronics RADWAR SA, Bumar, Telecommunication Research Institute SA (PIT) and
MBDA concern, elaborated as a response for a need of the combat capability modernisation
and establishing of an up-to-date AA defence system in Poland.
The conference had been chaired by Mr Marek Borejko - Marketing Director of RADWAR,
which is a coordinator of the "Shield of Poland" project. Conference participants
could see multi-media presentations and listen to papers delivered by Lt. Col
Adam Radomyski, PhD from NDU - dedicated to significance and tasks of AA defence
in activities during the war and others, Lt. Col Karol Sienicki, PhD from MUT
- dedicated to estimation of threats and performance of the short range sets
and
Mr Bogdan Zygmunt, PhD, Prof. from MUT about the Polish AA defence system.
Director Marek Borejko gave a presentation titled "Possibility of application of the solutions proposed by domestic industry for the needs related to implementation of the AA defence system Shield of Poland". A concept of the multilayer air and missile defence system had been presented by PhD Wiesław Jędrzejewski from Bumar.
