Participation in the DEFEXPO 2010 Exhibition

From February 15th till 18th, our company - together with other companies of the Bumar Group - participated in the international exhibition of defence systems, which took place in New Delhi (India).

This year our exposition was focused on promotion of the V-SHORAD KOBRA and LOARA MG systems (joint proposal of our company and MBDA concern) - as in the next future the Indian MoD plans to announce tenders for delivery of such equipment and Bumar received relevant RFI.

The exhibition had been attended by the official Polish delegation including Undersecretary of State for Weaponry and Modernization in the Ministry of National Defence, Marcin Idzik and the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy, Dariusz Bogdan. The Bumar pavilion had been visited by the representatives of the Indian Armed Forces as well as numerous Indian private companies interested in industrial cooperation with companies from the Bumar Group. For us the most important event was a visit of the Commander of Indian Air Forces and talks referred to the participation of Bumar in a tender for antiaircraft defence systems. Moreover, other meetings with local Radwar partners had been also conducted.

Indian expenditures for defence equipment in the next 5 years are estimated at a level of 30 billions US dollars, so the presence at this major Asian military fair is mandatory for all defence industry companies, which want to be taken into account in a race for contracts.
