The system is easily adaptable to other types of guns and missile launchers. An example of the KOBRA system configuration is shown. Radar data can be used by any of the two interoperating anti-aircraft batteries. Use of the newest technology in wireless and wire data transmission makes it possible to send air pictures to both batteries when spaced up to ca. 20 km, depending on weather conditions, terrain shape, the type of weapons in use etc. The basic element of a single battery is the Battery Command Vehicle (BCV), which receives information from the MMSR radar or from an external surveillance and command system. The battery commander decides whether to engage the target with guns or fire-and-forget missiles. The possibility of deploying POPRAD missile launchers at quite a long distance from the BCV makes it possible to either organize defence of a large area or concentrate the effort selectively on dangerous directions. The guns type ZUR 23-2KG feature high firepower, additionally increased by two add-on short-range AA missiles of the GROM type. Possible Uses
